From recreational fitness to amateur boxing and now as a trainer and coach, my journey through the world of boxing has been marked by a pursuit of growth and skill development. Each step has taken me deeper into the sport's intricacies, from understanding its psychology and biomechanics to refining tactics, strategies, and personal connections.

In my coaching role, I've been privileged to witness profound transformations in my clients. These experiences have taught me valuable lessons, emphasizing the importance of tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Through this, I've gained a deep appreciation for the physical, mental, and emotional demands of boxing, shaping me into the coach I am today.

The atmosphere coming into training is always positive and one that encourages you to want to work harder. Although boxing is an individual sport, everyone is always pushing you to be better. Henry takes the time to understand his fighters, knows their strengths and weaknesses, considers life outside of boxing, and tailors his 1-on-1 sessions as such. Aside from the physical aspect of boxing, Henry also emphasizes the importance of mental work and sets the tone of each session to set you up for success.

What I love is each hour you have with him, you will be getting a lot out of your session. He’s meticulous, very knowledgeable about the sport, and he breaks everything down concisely and to your understanding. I would 100% recommend boxing training to others looking to improve their fitness and overall health.  As an individual who was previously overweight, I am a prime example of how small lifestyle changes and a commitment to a sport can vastly improve the quality of one’s life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience in boxing to start training?
We offer a variety of levels when it comes to boxing. Our coaches have been through the grassroots systems and have a strong understanding for when competition can be attained. We have a range of classes from first time to high level amateur athletes.
What Equipment Do I Need For Boxing Training?
There are some pieces of equipment needed to start boxing.  First, you'll need hand wraps, and 16oz boxing gloves. We do offer the proper size hand wraps and a limited supply of communal gloves for use. We do encourage all participants to bring their own equipment.
Is Boxing Training Suitable For All Fitness Levels?
Boxing can be a vigorous sport but with proper training and a true personal understanding of your current fitness level, boxing can easily be suited for any level of fitness.
How Often Should I Attend Boxing Training Sessions?
Depending on how much you enjoy learning the techniques, we suggest twice per week to keep the mental notes and tips fresh for faster and proper progression. Working with one of our coaches 1 on 1 will give you the proper attention to detail in regards to any questions you might have giving you more understanding when taking any of our classes!
Can Boxing Training Help Me Relieve Stress And Improve Mental Well-Being?
Boxing training effectively relieves stress by providing a physical outlet for tension and boosting endorphin levels. It enhances mental well-being through increased confidence, mindfulness, and a supportive community. Overall, boxing is a powerful tool for improving both physical and mental health.
